Today was a good day for spawning echinoderms!

Today we spawned more echinoderms by injecting them with various peptides.



The starfish Pisaster giganteus shedding eggs (the grapefruit pink stuff oozing out of the top side of the animal):





And the sea cucumber Parastichopus parvimensis:

Typical spawing "head swinging" behavior:


The eggs are the orange balls floating in the water and oozing out of the pore on the top side of the animal:
